Tribal Love

Hi lovelies! Feeling overwhelmed right now is an understatement as I reflect on how far I have come on this journey. A friend once asked me 'when will I be able to confidently style my outfits like you'. I said to her 'don't worry in due time only be dilligent'. On this journey of fashion there has been ups and downs, failures, rejections even trials and errors not to forget risks. Life is all about risks o! I am still learning...
A good business leader will create a vision, articulate the vision, passionately own the vision, and then relentlessly drive it to completion. Today I want to pay tribute to the Easterners for their business acumen. Truly every Ibo man or woman is business-oriented. They look for oppourtunities everywhere. They are industrious, persistent and risk takers. Give the Ibo man anything and He'll sell it. They are very persuasive, making you believe they have something you want.
An Ibo man will never say no when a client asks for something even if it is the moon. He will go out of his way to make it happen. Ibo Kwenu! As a thriving entrepreneur, I have learnt so many lessons from observing the typical Ibo business man. I have learnt that hardwork and dedication really pays.
I am wearing a lace dress paired with ankara waist coat, both from mabeli inspired. I completed the look with a traditional Ibo cap which I am so in love with (borrowed from my dad' wardrobe). I practically wear it with everything. Ibo Kwenu!

Afro Urban Chic

Hi Everyone! Its my bestie's day, she got married. I am so exicted after so many hurdles and barriers this day finally came. We met in uni more than ten years ago and we keeping it strong everyday. When God says a thing no one can stand against it o! We've been through so much together, heart breaks, rejection, changes, etc. Patience really pays thats the story of my bestie and only she can tell it best.
There are times when God asks nothing of us but silence, patience and tears. During this time it will seem as if God were very far or that He may have abandoned us. God's delays aren't God's denials, He wants us to hold on and hold fast because that which He is preparing is only the best. Trust me, its the best! So Whilst we are waiting patiently on Him for that moment, it will be futile to wait in idleness. Remember faith without works is dead. We must wait in steady, cheerful endeavors, willing and fufilling our tasks so that we are ready to step in.
I have been wanting to try out this look and finally, I got my opportunity as there was no aso-ebi. Feeling fly with hubby'cap, lately I have been leaning toward menswear inspired look and caps are a good way for me to start.
Hope love this look, please drop your comments. Pls note: this outfit is available to order, send a mail to mabeliinspired@gmail.com or call 08091227553.

A Touch of Red

Thursday, March 10, 2016 0 Comments

Happy valentine! If Red is power and Love is red, therefore Love is Power!
So its valentine's day, let me say something about love. I really don't believe much in valentine but I believe in love and it is worth celebrating. I may not know much about the true history of valentine but I can write a whole book about the history of love.
This is what I believe, Love is God and God is Love. Love is a gift from God, Love became man and lived among us. When we obey God and live our lives according to God's standards, God's love develops in our heart. The little deeds we do here and there; deeds of kindness, love, smiles and help makes the earth one big happy place like heaven.
At the end of our lives; the question will be how much have you sacrified, how much you loved and served, how much you did and gave out. Therefore, continue to spread the love everywhere you go not just today but everyday. Not only to friends and family but to everyone. Be a living expression of God!
Love isn't an adjective that qualifies your relationship, but it is a verb that potrays your intentions through actions in a relationship.
Hope you love every bit of it. Dont forget to drop a comment, thanks! Outfit details Dress and Jacket : Mabeli Inspired! Shoes: Hubby's Closet Cap: Dad's Wardrobe Bracelet and earrings: accessories by mabeli
