...Of many colours

 Hi lovelies,

I love it when your accessories make statement, especially if it is handmade. This bag from accessories by mabeli is beyond gorgeous. It can be paired with anything. I look forward to remixing this gorgeous piece. This umbrella dress is from mabeli's latest collection 'tres chic'. I will be wearing pieces from the collection. This dress is easily one of my favourites, from the colour to the fabric. Its made from knit fabric, so it stretches. I absolutely love it (of course i made it).

Hope you enjoyed it?

Houndstooth and leather

Sunday, August 02, 2015 0 Comments

Hi lovelies,
How was your week? Hmn! My week was busy as usual in between preparation for my bestie'wedding and sewing for two bridal trains. I am not complaining, I am extremely grateful for this oppourtunity and the people around me who encourage me.
I dont follow all trends, I pick the ones I love and take my time to recreate it. I feel it is more appealing to try out trends when its declining. The monochrome trend is one trend that will never fade, it will always be around. The first time leather skirts, shorts ,trousers and houndstooth trend started I knew i had to have one but of course i waited.
So here is my take on the three trends.
Hope you enjoy....

Maxed Up

Thursday, April 30, 2015 0 Comments

Hi lovelies!

How was your week? I had a really busy week and I was looking forward to the weekend.
Crops and maxis are a trend right now, what better way to try them out than to pair them together. Maxi skirts or dresses are very flattering for all body shapes, it elongates the legs. Crop tops are daring and edgy. You'll be seeing more of this trend on the blog.

I love the the patterns and colours on the skirt, so very vibrant. I got this from Mabeli Inspired newest collection. I didn't want to bare my mid section so I went for a high waist maxi skirt. I paired with a white crop top. I think it turned out well.

I am the change!

Tuesday, March 10, 2015 0 Comments

Hey beauties!

How has your week been? This is the first post on my InspireME page.

Life is full of lessons; here I will be sharing experiences and lessons that have inspired me. So, today I want to talk about change. I was inspired to write this post based on the lessons I learnt from a movie I saw some time ago.

The message from the movie was simple and crystal clear: BE THE CHANGE YOU WANT TO SEE. CHANGE! CHANGE!! Everyone talks about change, wants change or is changing. The truth is that no one can effectively create the change you so much desire; only you can. Really? Yes of course, If you notice any problem around you then that means you are the solution to that
problem.

Yes! I need to start from me. So it really got me thinking, how much have I impacted the people around me? What will people say about me when I have left this world? I have come to understand that it is not what you acquire that matters but how much you were able to give.

Therefore I say to myself “get up take a stand for change, be bold enough to challenge the status quo”. I say to you too, “you are the change your world is waiting for, the solution we are waiting to see”. How do I know that?

Taking it a step further, I am making a personal commitment to be a change agent. I urge you to do same. You can’t afford to keep quiet; you have to take a stand for change. Speak out, shout it from the roof tops and let everyone hear. It’s time for change and you are the catalyst for that change. I’ve decided to build a strong motivation and passion to influence the lives of those around me. To look around me for a human need and reach out to fulfil that need. Make a difference in my society.

The world will be a better place to live in if every one of us is doing what it takes to create the change that we so much desire.

Rainbow Vibes

Sunday, February 01, 2015 0 Comments

Hi lovelies! How was your sunday? Hope you had a great time in church? I had such a wonderful time in church, I danced and sang like never before. I was so exicted today, being the first day of a new month. Last weekend was my birthday, we had a couple of friends over and it was awesome. Sorry didn't take pictures.

About today's post, I made this dress over two months ago and never really got a chance to wear it until today. I love everything about this dress, the colours, prints and the style. This dress is very femine and flattering, hugs me in the right place. The colours reminds me of the rainbow, which signifies a fresh start and new promises. I pray this month brings me just that.

I do appologise for the picture quality. It will get better, I promise. What do you think about my outfit?

Beyond Resolutions

Sunday, January 04, 2015 0 Comments

HI, Happy new year y'all!! 2014 was an awesome year for me, a lot happened and I remain grateful to God. I took a step further in my business and added an accessories line. I also started some projects I have been meaning to start in a long while. I am thankful to everyone who was a part of my 2014 and made visible impact in my life. My friends and family I say thank you! I hope we do more this year. I am not one to do 'new year resolutions' but this year I am making an exception because 2014 was a very great year, so many things started that I would like to continue. I am not calling them resolutions per se but goals, dreams. firstly, blogging of course, I would like to blog more often this year. Secondly I want to take new risks, do new things and break new grounds this year and lastly, I want to be a better person, wife. What about you? Are you making any resolutions this year, what are they? Don't forget the most important thing is implementing the changes you want. Thank you for stopping by. 'Damola
